Former Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has accused the new owners of ignoring his input as the run the business as they deem fit.
The 86-year old claimed the new owners did not like how he ran things and that they were ready to make changes.
The Liberty Media took over the sport early this year, ousting the former Chief Executive.
Ecclestone returned to a F1 paddock for the first time since the takeover as he appeared at the Bahrain event. He was kept on by the new owners for consultation when necessary but Ecclestone is saying it was for optics as he barely sees anything going on.
“What people don’t understand is I’m still in the company. Everything’s the same. I’ve been upgraded from chief executive to a much higher position. It’s so high, I can’t even see what’s going on,” he said. (more…)
